Transforming Teaching with iPad

Welcome attendees! In this session, we will explore a true iPad learning environment. Regardless of grade level or content area, the iPad is a transformational device that can provide students with the essential tools for 21st century learning. This session is for:
  • Any K-12 teachers and administrators who are currently implementing iPads in teaching and learning
  • Any K-12 teachers and administrators who are thinking of implementing iPads in teaching and learning

Objectives
In this session, we will:
  • Explore FREE digital content
  • Go beyond the apps to foster critical thinking
  • Collect pre and post assessments
  • Explore how to create a paperless classroom
  • Explore data from a school district who has implemented iOS devices (iPod touch and iPads) to impact student achievement

Hands-on
Although optional, you will gain better insight through hands-on exploration if you have an iPad with you! If you have a smartphone or iPod touch, you may still follow along with many of the apps and web resources demonstrated throughout the session.
